American songwriter DeMontre Sinclair Odum, better known as Tre Tala, was born on November 16th, 1986 in Baltimore, MD but was raised by his grandparents in Gary, IN. Tre was very musical at a young age, imitating Micheal Jackson, and even performing ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ in the 3rd grade. From the 8th grade and onwards it was not enough for him to just perform covers of established artists, but to become one himself, and began to perform original songs at numerous talent shows. Having an unorthodox childhood without having either parent around and later on in life having 2 children of his own, Tre was determined to try to give his children the childhood he never had. In early 2000 he appeared in his first ever music video ‘Yes I Do’ with T.A.L.A, this gave him the fire and the desire to pursue a career in music. Not too long after the video dropped Tre would perform at ‘Taste of Chicago’, a testament to his hard work. Over the last decade Tre Tala has worked effortlessly to pursue his dream, dropping numerous mixtapes such as ‘Off Burl vol. 1’ with notable local rapper Breezy Tala (close friend that passed away) as well as ‘Uhblazlikfiah’, ‘Judgement Day’ and many many more. Despite his unwavering work rate Tre has found time to also graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Business from Full Sail University.
